From Event Production to Serving our Community

This time of year we normally feel such an immense sense of pride and fulfillment on the weekends as we watch participants in our events accomplish their goals. But being in the midst of a global pandemic things are a little different this year. But you know what else gives you that same sense of fulfillment? Going out and doing something to help someone else – and that is exactly what we did.  In May, we teamed up with the Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin and Saris. We borrowed Saris’ e-cargo bikes to pick up donations from local grocers and deliver it to St. Vincent de Paul’s Food Pantry.

We later partnered again with Saris as well as WKOW TV in their Feeding Hope Campaign. We were able to help the Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin (CACSCW) provide 18,000 meals for people in need. The Feeding Hope campaign kicked off with a Text-a-Thon campaign as well as a food drive that ended in early June. We were able to use our vehicles and staff to deliver and monitor the food barrels during the campaign and then finally deliver the donated food back the CACSCW.

This was an incredible opportunity to do a different kind of work than we normally do, and it was so rewarding to be able to give back to the community in this way.
